There are times when defeat is all we face, when horror is all that faith must near. And yet. in spite of anguish, in spite if terror, we are never ocercome with ultimate dismay. 'Even that it woukd please God to destroy me; that He would let loose His hand and cut me off, then should I yet have comfort, yea. I would exult even in my pain; let Him not spare me, for I have not denued the words of the holy One ' ( Job 6: 9-10 ). Wells gush forth in the deserts of despair. This is the guidance of faith: 'Lie in the dust and gorge on faith'*"
