לאחרונה יצא לאור מהדורה עברית של  ספרו האחרון של השל - "קוצק במאבק למען חיי אמת". הספר נכתב במקורו ביידיש ותורגם לעברית בידי איתיאל בארי ודניאל רייזר; בעריכת דרור בונדי ובהוצאת מגיד.

הנה סיפור קצר שמופיע בפרק האחרון של הספר (פרק ח') תחת כותרת המשנה: "יחסו של הרבי מקוצק ל'יהודים של צורה'" בעמ' 234:

"יש קושיה עתיקה: לפי הכתוב בתורה ( שמות כד, ז) עמדו בני ישראל לפני הר סיני וקראו בהתלהבות: 'נעשה ונשמע', אך לדברי הגמרא, כפה עליהם אבינו שבשמים הר כגיגית והם אולצו  על כרחם לקבל את התורה [שבת פח ע"א]. והרי זו סתירה ?! אמר על כך ר' יצחק מאיר : כשעם ישראל עמד לפני הר סיני ושמע את עשרת הדיברות: 'לא תרצח', 'לא תגנב'...משכו ה'יהודים של צורה' בכתפיהם והביטו זה בזה: ' הייתכן ?! בשביל זה משה רבנו הביא אותנו לכאן ? אנחנו חשבנו שנשמע רעיונות עמוקים, חידושים, וכאן אומרים לנו: 'לא תרצח', 'לא תגנוב'...לנו ?! 'היהודים של צורה' הללו עמדו להסתלק מהר סיני. נאלץ אבינו שבשמים להרים את ההר מעל לראשיהם, וקרא: 'אל תזוזו ממקומכם ! זה נוגע לכם, 'יהודים של צורה', למדנים ! אם תנברו היטב בתוככם, תמצאו שבכל אחד מכם טמונות מעט גניבה, מעט רציחה. כלפי חוץ אתם אמנם 'יהודים של צורה', אבל אבוי - מה שנעשה בִפְנים !'"
