In times of balanced living, the Kotzker's repeated cries to look within and to practice continuous self-inspection may be both unbearable and unnecessary. Yet in today's disintegrating world, where all inwardness is externalized, our inner selves face a wasteland. We may sense a new relevance in such a call.
