כח הזכרון הקבוצי הוא מתכונות ישראל. גם בשטף הזמנים ישבנו על צור הזכרון, ועברנו נשתמר בנפשותינו ובסגנון חיינו. אף עלינו לזכור את המאורעות שאירעו לאבותינו, ואשר על ידם נתישב רוח אלוהים בתולדות עמנו. בת קול קדומים זו מצלצלת באזנינו. ואם גם נסיח דעתנו ממנה ואפילו אם ננסה להחרישה, חזיונותינו לא יחדלו מלדובבה.

The power of collective memory is one of the characteristics of Israel. Even in the rush of time, we sat on the sturdy rock of memory, and our past has been preserved in our souls and in our way of life. It is incumbent upon us to remember those events that occured to our ancestors, events through which the spirit of God established residence in the history of our people. This ancient echo still rings in our ears, and even  if we ignore it or attempt to silence it,, our visions never cease to give it voice.
